PEACOCK BASS FISHING

The Toca do Jaguar Jungle Lodge's Peacock Bass Fishing offers visitors an unforgettable experience of sport fishing in the heart of the Amazon because it is located on the banks of the Rio Preto da Eva, a tributary of the Amazon River, and home to the largest Peacock Bass in the world.

On this tour you will embark on a motorized canoe with your guide to fish the famous Peacock Bass, which is a fish that attracts many fishermen because of the fight he makes when he bites the bait. Its size varies from 50 cm to 1 meter and can weigh up to 15 kg, depending on the species. For its fishing must be used artificial baits or natural baits, like the jaraqui (fish of Amazon). Your guide will show you how to capture the jaraqui and keep it alive for the fishing of the Peacock bass. Most common species of Peacock bass: Peacock bass - Açu, Peacock bass - Paca, Peacock bass - Pinima, Peacock bass - Pitanga and Peacock bass - Red.
